Why is our mission to create jobs for moms?
In 2016, I Nikhlesh Parekh was at a job site training staff for another sister company of this brand, a WATER LESS car wash service. This company’s mission was to create jobs as well with flexible hours. Here I met a mom who had a two-year-old and was pregnant. After my conversation with her regarding creating jobs, she told me that I should think about creating a service revolving around moms, especially moms after giving birth. She explained why – before a woman gets pregnant, she most likely has a good job, is independent, and does not have to depend on anyone to support her. But once a woman gets pregnant now, she has to start depending on loved ones to help her, which affects her mental & physical state, including losing dignity. After birth, it still takes time for a mom to fully get back into the swing as child care is a full-time job. If there was a way for moms to work part-time around the kids’ schedule, even earning $100 a week, that earnings are her to spend on what she needed and not rely on anyone. It not only slowly brings new moms into the workforce again but also boosts their self-image of being independent again.
It made sense to me, and WeComeToYouHomeCleaning.com was born. Bring a man with no cleaning, decluttering/organizing skills, I got to work armed with business skills. It was challenging for the 1st 6 to 8 months with lots of mistakes made, but when you listen to your customers, you will always land on top. After my 1st year, things started falling into place with a great staff of moms and lots of training. Today we are in 3 states in over 100 cities. 99% of our team is all moms, and 95% of our customers are moms.
After six years of running this business and growing it in multiple states, I am looking to take this to another level by franchising it so moms, women, and entrepreneurs can be their bosses with a higher paycheck and have the time to spend time with their family. Unlike other services, which start at 7 or 8 am, we start at 10 am, so our moms get the time they need to make sure their household, especially kids, is taken care of in the mornings before going to work.
